Meant for More Coach - Volunteer Opportunity

Do you have a heart for students and want to help them reach their school for Christ?

Being a Meant for More Coach may be the perfect role for you!

What is a Meant for More Coach?

Meant for More Coaches invest in the lives of high school and middle school Christian student leaders who want coaching and help to reach their public school, peers, and friends with the good news of Jesus and to grow as Christian leaders. Coaches get a mission field of an entire public high school or middle school, up to several thousand students. The coach's job is to empower by coaching and mentoring the Christian student leaders to be missionaries at their school, and to their peers and friends so that lost students can be awakened to the love of Christ this year!

What does a Meant for More Coach do? It’s your job as a Coach to give student leaders vision, encouragement, guide them through the plan so they can reach their school, help them navigate challenges, empower them in personal evangelism and help them grow as a Christian Leader.

What does that look like practically? You get to empower students in their mission to reach their school. That’s a big mission! Coaches break it down and empower student leaders to tackle 4 Campus Objectives:

  1. Reach Every Student: Give every student on campus the opportunity to hear the Gospel, respond in faith, grow as a new believer, and to plug into a local church.
  2. Multiply Christian Students: Multiply the number of gospel communicators actively sharing Christ with their peers on campus.
  3. Gather Community Support: Gather support from the Christian community and local churches to support and sustain the movement at your campus through prayer, participation and finances.
  4. Develop Future Leaders: Equip future student leaders for the movement by involving them in the process of reaching your campus for Christ and proactively training them for future leadership.

Did you know? Students have the legal right at public schools in America to lead Christian Clubs on Campus, witness and lead outreach events during the school day. You can empower the student leadership team of students starting or already leading a Christian Club on campus. To hear more about students’ legal rights on campus to share Christ, lead a Christian club and outreach, check out the video below.

Who can be a Meant for More Coach? If you are a volunteer from a church, youth pastor, Christian university student or parent….you can be a Meant for More Coach!
We have a team of Coaches nation-wide who are coaching, training and empowering students on how they can reach their campus with the gospel and continue growing as Christian Leaders. Coaches play a vital role in this mission!

Coach Commitments and Values
NSP Coaches understand and commit to uphold some key values

  • Personal Character: NSP Coaches have high character. If provisionally accepted, NSP Coaches will undergo a background check and agree to complete additional steps in our volunteer registration process before final approval is given to coach student leaders.
  • Faithfulness of Coaching: NSP Coaches commit to serve as a Coach for the entirety of the school year, so their team and their students can depend on them.
  • Biblical Integrity: As an interdenominational ministry focussed on the gospel, NSP upholds several counter-cultural convictions: the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, heaven and hell are real, sex is for traditional marriage, and evangelism is effective. NSP Coaches commit to uphold these and other biblical values in word and deed, through God's strength.
